‘The Genius of Marian’  started as a personal project between a mother and son. In 2008, about a year before my mother’s diagnosis, she began working on a book as a tribute her mother, and my grandmother, the artist Marian Williams Steele. She titled the book “The Genius of Marian”.

We have recently launched a website that honors my mother’s initial intention and is dedicated to celebrating Marian’s work.

The Marian Williams Steele Gallery is dedicated to increasing public awareness and appreciation of Marian ’s extraordinary contributions to the arts. Our mission is to preserve her legacy, showcasing her work through public exhibitions, and facilitating its inclusion in museum and gallery collections, as well as private collections.
