A visually rich and emotionally complex story, “The Genius of Marian” follows Pam White in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease as her son, the filmmaker Banker White, documents her struggles. As Pam loses the ability to write, he records their conversations, allowing her to share memories of childhood and of her own mother, the painter Marian Williams Steele, who died of Alzheimer’s. An audience favorite at the TriBeCa Film Festival, and called "a remarkable film" by Indiewire. Q&A with the editor, Don Bernier, follows the screening. Presented by Point Reyes Books.
